CMSgt Jennifer L. Oberg is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 195th Wing, California Air National Guard, Beale Air Force Base, California. She is the Senior Enlisted leader and serves as the Wing commander’s key enlisted advisor on operational effectiveness and the organization, training and equipping of over 800 Airmen.
Chief Oberg enlisted in the United States Air Force in October 1990 and attended technical training as an Avionics Maintainer at Lowry Air Force Base Colorado. Upon graduation, she spent three years as an F/FB-111 Avionics Specialist at Cannon AFB New Mexico. In 1993 Chief Oberg accepted a position in the Air National Guard as a Ground Radio Specialist at the 222d Combat Communications Squadron in Costa Mesa, California. She transitioned to fixed communications in 2004 at the 163d Attack Wing, March Air Reserve Base, California. In 2006, she became an MQ-1 Predator Communications instructor, where she served as a Detachment Chief. In 2012, Chief Oberg became a quality assurance product improvement manager for the 163d Maintenance Group. In 2013, Chief Oberg was chosen for an assignment at the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews Maryland, as the Assistant Career Field Functional Manager for NGB/A6. In 2017, Chief Oberg accepted a command tour to become the 163d Attack Wing Cyberspace Support Superintendent at March Air Reserve Base, California. Prior to her current assignment, she was the 163d Attack Wing Mission Support Group Superintendent.
